I am reaching out to you in my families time of need. My sister, Ali, is struggling with being unjustly arrested under false allegations made by her abusive ex.

It started with a phone call from my sister, late at night, to come over and help her leave her home because her ex was trying to fight her and not allowing her to leave. When I got there my sister was having a panic attack, her face was so swollen I couldn't see her eye and the cops had already decided to arrest her; even though her partner had only scratches on her body.

Those who know Ali know her as a kind hearted person who would never do what she is being accused of. She has a heart of gold, loves her family, friends and fur babies and her heart is open to a fault.

My sister has endured immense physical/ emotional distress, PTSD and financial hardship due to the abuse and manipulations of her significant other.

People who have to rely on a horrendously overburdened public defender wind up taking a plea deal, so she has no choice but to hire private counsel to help win her freedom, life and reputation back. We are now gearing up to go to trial. Ali was able to retain a lawyer but court costs and fees add up, especially when going to trial. My family and I almost tapped for what we can spend on this.

Domestic violence can be hard to see and comes in many shapes and colors. I know my sister is innocent. I watched her partner manipulate her and the people around her in order to keep up with mistreating her.

My sister ended up hospitalized then jailed and now fighting for her freedom all because she was trying to leave and abusive relationship.
