Stand with Adrian – U.S. Citizen Detained Without Cause

On June 17, my friend Adrian Martinez was wrongfully detained by ICE, despite being a U.S. citizen. Without any display of aggression on his part, between five and eight officers forcibly restrained and apprehended him. Even after being made aware of his citizenship status, the officers reportedly continued to use excessive force, including choking him, repeatedly pushing him to the ground, and forcibly placing him into a vehicle.

His family has been informed that they will not receive any information regarding the facility to which he is being transferred until June 18.

Adrian is a kind individual and a loyal friend. At the time of the incident, he was attempting to assist a janitor who was also being harassed by ICE officers. This act of support unfortunately resulted in Adrian becoming a target of their unwarranted actions as well.
