Civil Disobedience to Protect MA Immigrants from Deportation
Donation protected
This photo is of my letter to the editor that appeared in the Boston Globe on Monday, February 10, in response to the chief federal prosecutor's hypocritical statements that "no one is above the law" (except her boss, Herr Trump, of course). It also summarizes my plan to help Massachusetts immigrants and, if necessary, go to jail in their defense.
This fundraiser is to help raise bail money for those of us who will practice peaceful but powerful civil disobedience to block ICE convoys in Boston from deporting women and children, including US citizens. Any additional money raised will be used to pay the lawyers who will defend us in court (the most likely charges involve obstructing federal officials--ICE agents--in the performance of their duties).
If the mass roundups of women and children don't occur, I will donate the funds raised to immigrants rights groups and/or refugees I know, including a family our church has taken in and a lesbian asylum seeker I have befriended who was persecuted by her home country's repressive regime.
Please give as generously as you possibly can.
