Our family is reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits. My sister-in-law, Tiffany Melligan-Smith, was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer, with signs that it may have spread beyond her thyroid. She now faces an urgent and difficult journey — including surgery, chemotherapy, and a long road to healing.

"Tiff," as we call her, is a wife, mother to two spunky girls, sister, and friend — deeply loved and admired for her strength, kindness, and quiet resilience. Tiff and my brother (Brian) went to prom together in high school — but she was my friend first! — then they went their separate ways, and fate brought them back together years later. They’ve now built a beautiful life and marriage grounded in love and family. When I told Tiff I was going to do this, she said she didn't think she needed much, and the diagnosis is more of an inconvenience - a testament to her strength and how humble she is.

She's in a fight that no one should have to face alone. This fundraiser is about more than medical bills. It’s about giving Tiff the space and support to heal without the burden of working through surgery or treatments. It’s about making sure she can focus on what matters most: her health and her family.
