Help Cervantes family After His Unexpected Passing

Donation protected

Heaven is lucky to have you, my love.
I never thought I’d have to say goodbye so soon. You were not just my husband but my best friend, an incredible father, and the light of our lives.

As we navigate this heartbreaking time, we’re also facing unexpected financial challenges. Since he recently changed jobs, he didn’t yet have same life insurance in place to help cover the costs of his passing or our household bills.

I am asking for help to honor his memory and support our family as we try to rebuild. If you feel moved to contribute or share, it would mean the world to us. Every little bit helps during this difficult time.

Thank you for your love, prayers, and kindness—it truly means everything to us.

Update from Michelle

With heavy hearts, we share the devastating loss of John, my beloved husband, high school sweetheart, and the sole provider for our family. John was a devoted father to our four children: two currently in college at CSUF, one a high school senior, and our youngest, who is just 9 years old and in 4th grade.

Not everyone is lucky enough to find a love like ours, and I will forever be grateful that he was my person. John’s love and dedication shaped our family in countless ways, and his loss leaves a void we can’t put into words. As we face this new reality, I’m doing my best to stay strong for our children and honor the life we built together.

John’s passing has brought unexpected financial challenges. We are struggling to manage housing costs, everyday expenses, and ensuring our children can continue their education.

We’re asking for your help to ease the financial burden during this heartbreaking time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to donate, we kindly ask that you share our story or keep us in your prayers.

Thank you for your love, support, and generosity as we navigate this journey of grief and healing.

update
It is with heavy hearts that we share some devastating news. After fighting so courageously for three weeks in the ICU, my dad, John, has passed away. He leaves behind four children, the youngest of whom is only 9 years old. His children were his heart and this will go toward schooling for Joshua and Neriah who are at CSUF . It will also help Jacob who is a Senior this year and will be going to college next year as well as Brielle who is in 4th grade and we need to save for her college. .

This has been an incredibly difficult and emotional time for our family, especially with Christmas approaching. We are so grateful for the outpouring of kindness and support we've received from friends, family, and even strangers during this unimaginable journey.

We kindly ask for your continued support during this time, whether through donations, sharing this page, or keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. Your contributions will go toward some funeral expenses and helping support my siblings during this challenging time where our hearts are broken.

Thank you for standing by us and for your compassion. It means the world to us as we navigate this heartbreak.

Update

John has now been in the ICU for two weeks, and it’s been an emotional rollercoaster. Unfortunately, he has contracted pneumonia and remains in stable but critical condition. This has been such a difficult time, especially with Christmas approaching, but we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible kindness and support we’ve received.

To everyone who has dropped off meals, helped with the kids, given rides, or simply checked in on us, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your love and generosity mean more to us than we can express.

We appreciate and love you all.

My name is Neriah Cervantes, and I am writing to you during a very difficult time for my family.

My dad, John, was admitted to the ICU two weeks ago and has been unable to work since. His recovery will be a long and challenging journey, requiring significant care. As the primary provider for our family, his absence has created added challenges in managing daily needs.

We are doing everything we can to ease the burden on my mom so she can focus on being by his side and caring for Brielle during this incredibly difficult time. Your continued support means so much to us.. During this holiday season, when stress and uncertainty can be even more difficult to navigate, I want to alleviate any financial burden that could add to the strain we are already experiencing. Your support—whether big or small or even just a share —would make an incredible difference in helping us cover medical bills, daily family expenses, including groceries, bills, and other necessities as we focus on my dad’s recovery.

I understand that many people may not be in a position to give, especially at this time of year, but if you are able to contribute, it would mean the world to us. Your generosity will directly support our family and allow us to focus on my dad’s healing without the added concern of financial stress.

Thank you so much for your love, kindness, prayers, and support. Your help during this incredibly difficult time is deeply appreciated.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Neriah Cervantes
