Hello everyone,

My name is Jermaine, and I’m a Construction Superintendent at Adler Windows. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Rufus Peterson for many years across various projects. Rufus is not only a dedicated worker but someone with a genuinely big heart who’s always there for others.

Unfortunately, on Monday, April 7th at 11:40 PM, Rufus’s home at 520 MacDonough Street was devastated by a fire. Tragically, the fire claimed the life of his Goddaughter’s grandmother, Ms. Cheryln Griffin, who was 77 years old. In addition to this heartbreaking loss, Rufus lost all of his personal belongings and is currently staying with relatives in Brooklyn as he begins to rebuild his life.

Anyone who knows Rufus can tell you how kind, dependable, and generous he is. For those who haven’t met him, I hope you’ll consider supporting someone who has always been a light for others in difficult times.

This fundraiser is to help Rufus support his Goddaughter with funeral expenses for Ms. Griffin and to replace the belongings he lost in the fire. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
