Stand by Ren in Her Time of Need

If you have ever spent any time cruising around Old Town, you have likely encountered Ren Burke's lively & creative public paintings on everything from the sides of buildings to public pianos. Just like Ren herself, her artwork is hard to pass by without making your day happier, brighter, and more joyful.

Alas, Ren has been struggling with some very serious health issues for the past few years. As almost anyone can attest who has suffered debilitating illness in America (even responsible people like Ren who always had "excellent" health insurance), the accumulation of multi-year medical debt can be soul-crushing.

Now, during the hardest fight of her life, Ren should be focusing on her health, her art, and her very survival--not on trying to answer the stressful calls of creditors.

Through her artwork and relentlessly positive energy, Ren has given so much to this community. As a proudly self-sufficient person, she initially rejected help. But she has finally decided to accept it, which is an indication of how much it is needed. I hope that we can give something back to her, so that she might pay off her medical debt and have a happier, brighter, and more joyful future. Thank you.
