Hello Everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. As a lot of you know, a few weeks ago, I found out about an elderly woman who has really been down on her luck. Her name is Mrs. Darlene, and she is 89 years old.

For the last 6 years, Mrs. Darlene has been living in an RV park in Dickinson, TX. In those last 6 years, she has truly been alone, with very little support.

She does have a brother that she tries to write to, but she is not sure if she has the correct address. She also has a daughter who legally can no longer care for her due to an elderly abuse case.

Adult Protective Services also has an open protective case on Mrs. Darlene. She is going through services with them to prove that she is okay and is able to live safely on her own.

Galveston County health care services has appointed her a caretaker who stops by to check on her during the week. She also helps her with light housework and things like grocery shopping.

Mrs. Darlene is doing everything in her power to come back from this rough patch. It has been rather challenging for her, solely because of the financial abuse that she endured.

Adding to the burden, the RV park she was living in would not cut her a break. She gets her social security check every 30 days, and they collect rent every 28 days. They charge $20 to read the electric meter and basically anything else you can think of. She was extremely behind on rent and up to her ears in late fees!

Finally, yesterday, Mrs. Darlene was forced out of her home. She is currently homeless and staying with her caretaker.

Please help me raise money to get her into a new rental home! If you can donate even $1, it will help! If you can’t spare the money, please just pray for God's will in her life.
