Hi everyone,

For those of you who know my dad, Juan, know that he's always been a hardworking man dedicated to providing for his family. He's had many health problems within the past 3 years (if not more) and has been out of work for over a year now with no income to pay for medical expenses, including surgeries that were necessary for his health.

For more context, Juan's major health concerns started back in January of 2024 when he started to develop stomach pain and was constantly throwing up. He was diagnosed with kidney failure soon after and had to start dialysis treatment right away. During this time, he also had to get blood transfusions as he also developed anemia and had to go on leave from work to recover. Later in March of 2024, he had to get his dialysis fistula inserted and was advised to lay off work for another 3 months to ensure there would be no difficulties. However, shortly after, he was let go from his job.

During the summer of 2024, Juan developed an infection in his fistula and went on antibiotics for 6 months, which all went well. In October 2024, he started a new job and a few days later got into a car accident in which he was not at fault but received no compensation for. In November of 2024, Juan had to get his gallbladder removed since doctors found stones in it and, being a high-risk patient, they did not want him to develop an infection. Soon after, he was let go from his job, again & has not been able to find work since.

Juan is an enthusiastic, passionate, caring man of God. Anyone can see this through even a 5-minute conversation with him. He truly cares for his family and looks only at the bright side in any situation, no matter how bad.
