Stand by Gabrielle in Her Cancer Battle

My name is Christina LaFleur, and I’m Gabrielle’s little sister. On October 26th, 2024, we were hit with the terrible news that my sister was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on her ovary.

On November 11th, she went in for surgery that was supposed to remove the cancerous tumor. Upon many tests and cultures, they found out that she had stage A3 ovarian cancer, which means it’s microscopic, so they then needed to perform a full hysterectomy just a few short weeks after her first procedure.

We had high hopes that this would be the end of this horrible nightmare, but sadly we were given the news that she also needed to undergo chemotherapy as they had high suspicion that the cancer had spread more into her body than just her ovaries and uterus. She then went in for a small procedure to install a port in her shoulder.

As her little sister, she has always been my hero in life. She’s my best friend and my biggest supporter in all things I do, and I want to return the favor as she deserves nothing but the best. I’m making this GoFundMe with hopes I can bring her comfort, relief, and rest as she starts this journey of beating this terrible disease.

Due to many surgeries, appointments, and now chemotherapy treatments, she has missed work and has fallen behind on bills. She is also in the process of trying to find the perfect wig as she is losing her hair. The last thing I ever want for her to do is stress about bills, especially during this sensitive time in her life.

My goal is to raise $10,000 to not only provide her a financial cushion, but to also help create her the perfect wig out of my own hair. My hopes with this are that she may find comfort, confidence, and support and not have to worry about the other obstacles in life and can finally focus on the things that matter like her happiness and healing.
