Stand by Chaundrel in Her Time of Need

My name is Tameka Whitehead and I’m asking for donations to help a family member in need. Her name is Chaundrel McCarver, she’s 29 years old. She’s the daughter of our late, Yolanda Sample (a graduate of Altus High, some may know her from working at Wal-Mart and English Village).

Chaundrel has worked for Braum’s (Altus, Oklahoma) the past 4 years, but a total of 6. She’s always been employed since she’s graduated high school, but as of July 9, 2024 she has not been able to do so. On this day she was hospitalized due to blood clots in her lungs and leg, finding out she has chronic myleiod leukemia, rheumatoid arthritis, along with a blood disorder and other underlying health issues. These diagnoses has helped many of us understand a lot of the symptoms, illnesses, and falls she’s been experiencing the past few years. After being hospitalized and released from rehabilitation she’s unable to walk and is confined to an electric wheelchair.

Since the passing of her mother 4 years ago Chaundrel has lived on her own and is now struggling to pay rent and utilities. A few family members and family friends has helped since July with paying her rent and utilities, but funds are running low. We are in desperate need of help at this time as we wait for her disability to be approved; we’re believing $5,000.00 can get her through the next 6 months of rent and utilities.
