On September 6th, 2025, my brother Chad Anthony Abeyta passed away unexpectedly at the Weiden Clinic in Germany. Chad was a proud U.S. Army veteran who continued to serve his country long after his time in uniform—first through active duty, and later as a skilled network engineer supporting military operations behind the scenes.
He was a devoted father of two, whose bond with his children remained at the heart of his life, no matter where duty or circumstance took him. Chad’s life was built on service—to his country, his family, and his community. He gave generously, lived honorably, and left behind a legacy of quiet strength and compassion.
I am currently deployed overseas, and I’m working to bring Chad home to the United States so he can be laid to rest with the dignity and honor he deserves. The process of repatriating his remains from Germany is emotionally and financially overwhelming. It involves international coordination, funeral arrangements, and travel from my deployment to Germany and back to the U.S.
This GoFundMe campaign is not just about covering costs—it’s about giving Chad the farewell worthy of his life and legacy. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us to recover and bring him home so we can honor the man he was. He was a soldier, a father, a brother, and a quiet hero.
Thank you for reading, for sharing, and for standing with us in this moment of grief and gratitude. Here is my cash app if you don't want to go through GoFundMe, $PatrickAbeyta
