Anthony Alexander Umana Herrera was born on April 1st. He was first born followed by his twin sister Scarlett. He required immediate medical attention with his breathing and other health related concerns. From one diagnose to another Anthony had a lot of hurdles to overcome only being a few hours old. He was underweight/premie at 4lbs. He spent his first month in the NICU A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which is a specialized hospital unit that provides intensive care. Doctors & specialist had doubts that he would survive a few months and could possibly have long term life threatening health concerns. They even gave an option to put him to sleep if that is what we wanted. Anthony was in a lot of pain and struggled but has been fighting to live.

Anthony had surgery when he was 2 weeks old to open up his nasal passage ways so he can breathe normally. Since then Anthony has been on a special formula to increase his body weight but started having digestive issues. After being rushed to the Emergency room recently due to internal bleeding, high heart rate, & prolonged high fever he was admitted back into the hospital. Blood lab work, MRI's, CT Scans, X-rays, multiple facial surgeries, etc are currently being performed to help Anthony in any way possible. He is still in the Hospital at the moment while some of the severe symptoms persist. To give him the best quality of life even under difficult circumstances can be possible but we ask for your help. Anthony can't speak but he is strong and has overcome a lot while only being 2 months old. Anything contributed will go towards Anthony to improve and be able to live life to its full capacity no matter what limit may be set before him. His twin sister Scarlett, his bigger sister Leah, mother, and father ask for your help to unite us as a family. Please keep Anthony in mind during these difficult times.
