Dexter is a sweet 6 year old boy who loves to play, ride bike, build Legos, and play video games. He was always active until a few months ago when he began experiencing severe headaches and nausea. A few trips to the doctors confirmed the worst. In May of 2019, this lovely boy was diagnosed with stage 4 Medulloblastoma. This is a brain tumor near the brain stem. He went through a 6 hour surgery and weeks of recovery in early May to have the tumor removed. However, it quickly and aggressively spread to his spine and began growing back in his brain.
He underwent 6 weeks of proton beam radiation therapy at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. We are currently at Sanford in Fargo, ND where he will have to undergo at least 8 months of chemotherapy. His mom had to quit her job and currently spends all her time in the hospital with Dexter while he is being treated. Even in the hospital she is busy all day taking care of him. We are raising money to help with medical, transportation, and basic living costs. Anything helps. We can't do this alone, so we're asking for your support in these dark times.
