Hi everyone, my name is Emily hughes and I am the daughter and middle child of Stacy. About 3 months ago my mother was experiencing heart palpitations in her chest, after going to the doctor and receiving a series of tests they determined her to have a 70% blockage in one of her major arteries. They set her up to have a stint put in her arm to try and blow out the blockage, while they were in the middle of doing so they discovered her condition was far worse off than they originally thought. They discovered she actually had nearly 90% blockages in all 3 major arteries making it impossible to just put in a stint and needing her to have triple heart bypass surgery. They said and I quote “she is a ticking time bomb for a heart attack” and they were not comfortable with her leaving the hospital until her next surgery. obviously this comes as a shock and surprise to her family and friends. What what would have been simple has now turned into something that will take along time to recover from that my mother was unprepared for. She will now have to remain not working and attending rehab for at least 2 to 3 months. Anything to help her get through these next few months while she is unable to work would be eternally greatful.
