Jesse Menchaca, a loving husband, doting father, ER Physician Assistant, Ph.D. student, Navy veteran, Three Rivers community member, loyal friend and family member, has unexpectedly passed. Everyone who knows Jesse remembers his bright smile, contagious laugh, positive attitude, love for his family and friends, dedication to the practice of medicine, and ambition for life. He inspired the lives of so many, and was always supporting others in whatever capacity he could. For example, in Three Rivers, he was known to attend to people's medical emergencies, while sacrificing family time, because his love for people extended so far. He lived his life as a role model. While working grave yard shifts in the ER, he was also studying and nearly finished his Ph.D. He shared his motivation for working hard was to inspire his children. However, Jesse inspired everyone that he met. Jesse's zest and ambition for life was contagious to all. He leaves behind a remarkable family. Stacey, his beautiful and strong wife. She has been a rock in Jesse's life. He shared how when they met a Kaweah hospital, she had the best attitude and smile. Stacy has helped create a meaningful life in Three Rivers for their family with a home filled with animals, community, and two incredibly smart, curious, and adorable children. Brooklyn Rae, 3 years old, and Jackson Reed, almost 2 years old, are the center of the family and the drive for every decision that has been made by Jesse and Stacey. Although, Brooklyn and Jackson are young, a deep imprint from Jesse has been left in their hearts forever. As a friend of Stacey's, I ask the community of Three Rivers to support Stacey and her children, just as Jesse would do for us. A financial donation would provide relief, so that they have space to grieve. It would also provide them time to stand strong without Jesse. Stacey is a full-time mother, and the absence of Jesse will certainly be challenging to navigate on many levels, and in particular financially. Stacey will use these funds to cover the cost of living. We know the loving capacity that Three Rivers has for its people, and we thank you in advance.
