Stacey is 26 and has Persistent trophoblastic disease, which is basically a large cancerous mass her womb (ptd for short).
She was taken from Weston-super-Mare to Charing Cross hospital for urgent chemo on the 25th May 2023.
Her blood pressure was extremely low but it has come up a bit so she has been able to be pushed in a wheelchair for a visit to the hospital costa (living the dream).
She's currently on medication to stop heavy bleeding. It's going to be 3-6 months of chemo, tablets one day, injections the next for one week and then one week off. She will be able to come home once she has been able to walk down to the costa and walk back up, but she will then be on bed rest.
Points of prayer:
Pray that this stupid thing buggers off asap. (Healing)
Pray that when she comes off of the tranexamic acid she doesn't start bleeding a lot.
We need her hormone levels to come down from eighty-five thousand down to five, (not five thousand, just five!)
Pray she can have the rest of her chemo at a local hospital.
Pray for her to feel peaceful and that she can sleep well.
Pray for the kids to have a nice time whilst being looked after by other people and that they can sleep well too!
Pray that Sam gets rest and asks for help if he needs it.
Practical help:
Sign up to our meal train to help ease the worry of having to cook every day.
Support finanically to help Sam and Stacey cover the costs of the multiple hospital trips for chemo and appointments, parking and meals for any overnight stays they may continue to face.
Sam needs to work and is self employeed so will not recieve any compassionate paid leave. Stacey needs to be in bed once home (plus they have 2 energetic kids) so any financial support we can give them over the coming months would be appreciated.
We'll try and update everyone as we know what's going on.
Thanks for everyones kind words and support so far, it means a lot to them :^)
