Hi, our names are Ali & Linda and we're raising funds for Stable & Wick Micro Bakery which is owned and run by Emma and Louisa Parry. It's a small but beautiful micro bakery serving the community of Downton, which is currently closed for a period of time and then re-opening in a limited capacity, so that they can spend time with their husband and father, Bryn Parry, who has been diagnosed with terminal Pancreatic Cancer with no treatment possible to extend his life. We believe all those reading this will know how important it is to be able to spend what little time they have together, within the loving and close family that is the Parry family and without having to worry about the day to day running costs of their micro bakery.

If we exceed the target we will liaise with Emma and Louisa as to how they would wish these additional funds to be distributed to help them through these sad times.

This has hit all those that adore this generous, funny, loving family really hard. The Parry family has given so much to so many, we thought that people may like to contribute to help ease the financial pain of having to close and then scale back their small business micro bakery so that they can spend as much of the precious time left with the man they love.

We are doing this as our own initiative and not under request from the family who we know would never ask for any help.

A little of our backgrounds for those who don't know us. Linda joined Help for Heroes in 2010 and was Head of Grants until she left in 2017. She is a qualified accountant who is completely transparent and trustworthy in all of her actions.

Ali joined Help for heroes having met Bryn and Emma in Selly Oak Hospital where her husband was being treated after being injured in Afghanistan. She was immediately struck by their warmth and determination to make a difference to the wounded, injured and sick and their families.
