Stable Housing for M!

I am reaching out to friends and family to ask for help on behalf of my good friend, M. M is one of the most grounded, authentic, honest, and kind people I have ever met. She is talented, hard-working, and has a great job lined up as a unionized

construction flagger, which pays $25/hour. This is plenty of money for M to support herself on her own, BUT M just lost her housing unexpectedly and has no savings. She can't start work until she is safely housed, but she can't pay for housing until she starts work. I'm asking my community to gather around this incredible human and help her close the gap!

 

There's a bit more to M's story that she has given me permission to share. Between the ages of 14 and 31, the majority of M's life was spent behind bars. As a child, she spent years separated from her family and community in juvenile detention. Nights when she was not locked up were spent on the street in Tacoma. While serving a sentence at the Women's Correctional Center of Washington, M had a radical conversion experience and committed her life to God. Everything changed for her. She saw a future for herself and began to work toward it, earning certificates in construction and cosmetology while at WCCW. I am so grateful that our paths crossed and I know God has amazing things in store for her. But she needs help in order to keep walking along that path! Any amount would be so very appreciated!
