Flanny 4 Danny - Men's Mental Health & Suicide Awareness

Danial fought silently & bravely but ultimately lost his battle with mental health.

On the 17th of August 2022 Danny's life support was turned off.
Danial is what you refer to as a true blue fair dinkum Aussie male. He loved cars, dirt bikes, racing and weirdly enough loves his antiques. He would always be wearing his flannelette shirts.

Like most blokes, Danial would always put a facade on and would never open up about how he was feeling. He struggled Throughout his life and always drew the short straw and was never able to "get up" His attitude was always “she’ll be right” and "my turn is coming"

The 17th of August is Flanny 4 Danny day. Bringing awareness to men's mental health and to help suicide prevention help break the stigma with males and mental health.
How can you help?

  • Chuck on a flanny. Wear it with pride.
  • Have a conversation, ask your mate how their doing?
  • Donate any lose change

Help us raise funds for Men’s Mental health & Suicide Prevention.

This year all proceeds go towards the Carevan Foundation - Outreach Program.

The Carevan Foundation is a grassroots outreach program dedicated to supporting the homeless, disadvantaged, and vulnerable across regional and rural Australia. Founded in Albury-Wodonga, the initiative uses brightly coloured “Carevans” to deliver hot meals, essential items, and most importantly companionship and dignity to those in need.

Beyond providing meals, Carevan is committed to breaking the cycle of social isolation and poor mental health. By creating safe, welcoming spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued, Carevan plays a vital role in improving community wellbeing. Their programs also focus on early intervention and education through initiatives like Kids Cooking & Caring, Sun Smiles, and school lunch programs, promoting empathy and community awareness among young people.

At the heart of Carevan’s mission is the belief that together, we can turn “us and them” into “we.”
