St Veronica Preschool Playground

Hi. My name is Ian Phillips. I'm 16 years old and a Life Scout from Guardian Angels Troop 445. I have earned 37 Merit Badges. I am a Brother in the Order of the Arrow. I work as a counselor at a local Cub Scout summer camp. I really enjoy Scouting.

I am raising funds for my Eagle Scout Project. The rank of Eagle is the highest rank a Scout can earn. Since the beginning of Scouting, only about 2% of Boy Scouts have become Eagle Scouts.  One of the requirements is a service project.

My project will be building a playground for the preschool students at St. Veronica Elementary School in Cincinnati, OH. The playground will have a teeter totter, balance beam, and stepping stones. The kids will have fun playing while honing their coordination skills.  I will also be building two benches that can be combined to make a picnic table which will provide a surface for art projects or snacking. The play area will be surrounded by a vinyl picket fence.

The total cost for my project will be $2,825. The money will be used to purchase wood, screws, concrete, vinyl fencing, mulch, stepping stones, as well as tool rental. Any money left over will be donated to St. Veronica Elementary’s scholarship fund. Please help with whatever amount you can afford to donate.
