Donation protected
Hi, I'm David Moore, a Life Scout from Troop 444 in Concord CA.
I 'm working on my Eagle project to renovate and restore St. Stephen's cemetery on Monument Blvd. in Concord.
I 'm working on my Eagle project to renovate and restore St. Stephen's cemetery on Monument Blvd. in Concord.
St. Stephen's is the oldest cemetery in Concord and a historical site for the city. Sadly, it has fallen prey to vandalism and years of disrepair. I want to make it beautiful again.
I will be installing a cross on top of the central monument to replace one destroyed through vandalism, install two benches for visitors to use when coming to pay their respects, and remove years' worth of dead branches, leaves and other debris.

I am doing this project to benefit the community. St. Stephen's has graves from as early as the 1890's and some that are still unoccupied. I want to give respect to the dead and provide a beautiful place for families to visit their loved ones.
This project comes with some major costs. The benches are high quality thermoplastic coated metal park benches. They cost $538.85 each plus tax and shipping the price comes out to $1,297.08. In addition, concrete, rebar, the cross, and additional items must be purchased. Equipment such as a cement mixer must be rented. The total estimated cost of this project is $2,300.00
If you want to help my effort to improve my city and give respect to the dead and their families, please contribute by donating here. Anything is appreciated!
