St. Patrick's Appalachian Service Trip

Hi, my name is Porter Vogt; I will be attending a service trip in late July in Preston County, West Virginia. The program I am a part of began in 1986 as a flood relief effort. Saint Patricks Church partnered with a Catholic parish in West Virginia to help those in Preston County whose homes were destroyed or severely damaged by a 500-year flood of the Cheat River. Over the next 35 years, this partnership shifted from flood relief to essential poverty relief. This organization helps those whose lives and homes are affected by rural poverty. The money from this GoFundMe will go to the supplies we use to repair the homes.
