St Mary’s Primary School Kenya
Donation protected
My name is Darren, myself and my uni friends are currently in Kenya Mombasa on a volunteering placement at a primary School called St Mary’s. After being there a week of being here we are loving our time at the school but feel like there’s more we can do to try and help the school. The school currently don’t own their building and are often forced to leave which means the kids don’t get any education and are often left without food and water.
To show how far your donations will go, here are the following prices for food for the school kids for 3 weeks:
Long life milk - £ 16 (2600 shillings)
Porridge flour - £18 (3000 shillings)
Sugar - £6 (1000 shillings)
School supplies are also cheap with the following prices for each item:
Notebook - 27p (45 shillings)
Pens - 6p (10 shillings)
Chalkboard erasers - 60p (100 shillings)
We have 3 weeks left in Kenya and with any donations we will be taking the principle of the school directly to the store and buying whatever supplies they need.
Any donations would be very much appreciated no matter how small.
