St Marks Church and Cancer Research

Our Granda Leslie Wells turned 90 in January. He has chosen to do a sponsored walk on Saturday 17th May to help raise money for two causes close to his heart. He will be starting at St Marks Church in Portadown at 9am and walking to Moneypenny’s Tow Path, with the intention of walking further if he can.

Granda has chosen to donate the money he has raised to St Marks Church in Portadown and Cancer Research. Throughout Granda’s life he has been a member of St Marks, who are celebrating 200 years next year. This money will go towards funding for the church. Granda has also chosen cancer research as he himself has faced cancer, along with many other health problems.

If anyone who knows Granda would like to join him on his walk, everyone is more than welcome to do so.
