St. Lucy's Church Beautification Eagle Project

I, Isaiah Miguel Arreola, am a Life Scout from Troop 21 based out of Long Beach, California. I began my scouting journey at the age of nine with Cub Master Clarence Alvey. Currently, I’m in the fundraising stages of my Eagle project. The Boy Scouts of America have provided strict guidelines that must be followed. In essence, this will assist me in producing my project. The project itself must benefit an organization in need, which will be executed through my leadership throughout. After speaking with Mr. Roland, the project representative at St. Lucy, we had thought of a plan to beautify the outdoor prayer area at St. Lucy’s by creating 3 planters accompanied by flowers while also repainting the fence around to become rust-resistant. This area is a place where church-goers can store their family members' ashes and feel close to them once more. This project will not only beautify the area but also create a sacred environment for its members and the community.

The beneficiary of this project is Saint Lucy’s Catholic Church and School, a well-respected non-profit organization. St. Lucy’s Catholic Church has provided not only me but the whole community with much-needed spiritual guidance for generations; and I would like to offer this project to them as gratitude for their direction toward my religious journey.

As one could imagine, a project of this caliber requires time, dedication, effort, and passion. The estimated cost of the project accrues to $1200, which I am extremely confident to be able to fundraise completely through donations. I am eternally grateful to have been introduced to the scouting world as a child and to have been given the opportunity to present my Eagle Project Proposal to each and every one of you. I am excited to continue my scouting career into this new chapter. For the rest of my time in my scouting career, I will be dedicated to mentoring and helping younger scouts through their scouting career until they receive their Eagle Rank.
