People with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) have limitations in intellectual functions like communicating, taking care of themselves, and impaired social skills. Many with ID live in special facilities and group homes with limited funding. The Knights of Columbus has conducted an annual fund drive since its founding in 1975 to help support organizations that offer services to people with ID.
The St. Irene Knights of Columbus in Warrenville, Illinois ID Fund drive will be conducted now through October 2026, with a street solicitation from Sept. 18-20. Half the money raised will be donated to the Cupertino Group Home in Warrenville (a Clare Woods Academy operated facility, Carol Stream). The remaining half will be split between Western DuPage Special Recreation Association, Special Camps for Special People of Winfield, and Illinois Knights of Columbus Charities. All 100% of the funds we receive from this GoFundMe drive support these organizations.
We urge you to also support this effort by donating generously. 100% of the proceeds raised are donated to the designated organizations.
