St Elizabeth & Westmoreland Rise - Relief for families

From the Ashes, We Rise – If 20,000 of us gave £1 — Jamaica would rise again..

We’ve had over 20,000 people view this page — if each gave just £1, we’d rebuild homes, feed children, and light the dark tonight.
Families in Whitehouse, Westmoreland & St Elizabeth lost everything when Hurricane Melissa struck. Roofs are gone, power is out, water is scarce — but together we can bring hope back.

What Your Donation Can Do
  • No electricity
£1 helps send light. £13 provides a solar torch so one family is no longer in darkness.
  • No light in the evening
£5 helps light the dark evening in shared community spaces.
  • No clean water
£25 provides bottled water and purification tablets for up to five families.
  • No essentials for mothers and babies
£10 helps give a hygiene kit—nappies, wipes, and sanitary supplies for a mother and child.
  • No roof
£25 provides a temporary tarpaulin cover and rope to keep out the rain.
  • No safe home
£100 funds materials to rebuild a small family shelter and offer a safe place to rest.
  • Need full support
£50 provides a care pack with food, nappies, and sanitary supplies for mothers and children.

Your £1 isn’t small — it’s the spark that lights a home again.

Who we are:
We are Becky and Carl, founders of 14 Parish, a fast-growing Jamaican takeaway and catering brand based in London. Both of us have deep Jamaican roots — Carl was born in St Thomas, and Becky spent much of her childhood living and going to school in St Elizabeth. Our business celebrates Jamaica’s rich culture and resilience, and our hearts remain firmly tied to the island we still call home.

We visit regularly and have close ties with families in Whitehouse, Crawford, and surrounding communities — among the hardest hit by Hurricane Melissa.

This campaign is coordinated through Becky’s mum, who is on the ground in the Whitehouse area, organizing logistics, community awareness, and verified local distribution networks.

Our families come from Jamaica’s South Coast — St Elizabeth and Westmoreland — now struggling to recover after the devastation of Hurricane Melissa.

After the storm, thousands of women, children, and elders have been left without roofs, clean water, or electricity. While large organizations focus on major cities, smaller coastal towns are too often the last to receive help.

“As Jamaicans, we watch women carry hope through devastation.
This campaign isn’t charity — it’s accountability.
We’re delivering direct aid through verified suppliers, transparent reporting, and photo updates from the ground. Every £25 you give will be seen in action — in water delivered, roofs covered, and lights shining.”

That’s why 14 Parish, Elevate, Patois, Monikah Lee, and a consortium of young home-grown entrepreneurs are stepping in — delivering direct, transparent, and immediate relief through trusted local networks.

Where Every Pound Goes

  • Clean Water & Filtration Bottled water, tanks, purification tablets 25 %
  • Light & Power Solar lanterns, charging kits 20 %
  • Shelter Materials Zinc sheets, plywood, tarpaulins, nails, tools 30 %
  • Women & Children’s Care Nappies, formula, sanitary pads, wipes 15 %
  • Delivery & Coordination Local transport, fuel, and safe storage 10 %

Every pound goes directly into tangible supplies — each donation becomes light, safety, and dignity for a family who’s lost everything.

Your gift brings light to a home still in darkness, clean water to hands that have gone dry, and a roof strong enough to face the next storm.

We’ll post regular photo and video updates so you can see the deliveries, materials, and families your gift is helping — in real time.

Our Promise

We’re not a large NGO. We’re a collective of young, home-grown entrepreneurs and proud Jamaicans with deep community roots and unshakable hearts.

United by our love for the island that raised us, we’re the next generation using our voices, businesses, and platforms to uplift our people — ensuring that the unseen are never forgotten.

We remain fully transparent and accountable for every dollar spent — rebuilding not only homes, but the hope of an entire coastline.

From the ashes, we rise — together.
