St. Augustine's Move the Calderdale Way

St. Augustine's has a team of 50 people taking part in the Move the Calderdale Way challenge this September! We have two teams of 25 people who will be aiming to collectively move the length of the Calderdale Way (50 miles) from 1st September to 30th September.

However we would like to push it a little bit further! We're challenging each team to see how far they can move across the world. St. Augustine's currently supports people from over 54 different countries, we would like to use this challenge to connect with the journeys that people have made to get to Halifax. It's 309 miles to Calais, 1037 to Czechia, and 2992 to Syria! How far will each team get?!

The Centre will receive £20 from Active Calderdale for each person taking part, that's £1000 for our Gardening project. A team of volunteers meet every Tuesday to keep the Centre gardens looking lovely for our community to use, and also growing lots of fresh produce! We are asking for your support in raising more money for equipment, plants, and the materials for new benches and fences!

Please support our teams as they complete the Move the Calderdale Way challenge and raise money for the Centre! Thank you.
