Hi, my name is Maria Diaz. I’m a mom, writer, and community builder who cares deeply about helping women and families in crisis. I’ve organized fundraisers and supported rebuilding efforts before, but today I’m here on behalf of a dear friend in South America — a single mother and her daughter who just lost their home.

Help a Mother and Daughter Rebuild Their Home

Right now, I am fundraising for a dear friend in South America — a mother raising her daughter completely on her own. They are very poor, with no family support and no resources to fall back on.

Recently, their home collapsed, leaving them with nowhere safe to sleep. With the cold setting in, they’ve tried to shield themselves by propping pieces of sheet metal around their small porch — but it’s not a home, and it’s not safe. A mother and child should never have to sleep exposed, without warmth, protection, or stability.

They need our help.

Your support will go directly toward helping them rebuild — giving them back not only a roof and walls, but the safety and dignity every family deserves. Even the smallest gift can make a life-changing difference in their situation.

I’ve seen how powerful community can be when we come together, and I believe we can do that here. No mother and daughter should face devastation alone. Together, we can help them out of the cold, into safety, and into hope again.

En este momento estoy recaudando fondos para una querida amiga en Sudamérica: una madre que cría a su hija completamente sola. Son muy pobres, sin apoyo familiar ni recursos a los que acudir.

Recientemente, su casa se derrumbó, dejándolas sin un lugar seguro donde dormir. Con el frío acercándose, han intentado protegerse colocando láminas de metal alrededor de su pequeño porche, pero eso no es un hogar ni es seguro. Ninguna madre ni hija deberían dormir expuestas, sin calor, sin protección, sin estabilidad.

Necesitan nuestra ayuda.
