Chapters of the Socialist Rifle Association have come together to provide life saving medical equipment to activists and and members of organizations working to protect Black and Indigenous lives.

Across the country, peaceful protesters have found themselves under violent assault from political extremists using cars and guns to attack those protesting for Black lives. In many cases there is a shortage of urgently needed medical equipment in the critical moments before paramedics arrive. Our goal is to make this life saving equipment more readily available to activists and community organizations on the ground.

We hope to raise $2500 to bulk purchase bandages, gauze, tourniquets, chest seals, and other life saving devices from reputable manufacturers and assemble them into complete first aid kits, which will then be distributed to selected SRA chapters. These chapters will work with local activists, community organizations, and vulnerable groups to provide kits to those most likely to need them. We will take care that IFAKs are given to those with the knowledge and training to effectively use them; or where available, certified instructors will provide training in their use.
