On December 20th, 2018, baby Liam arrived unexpectedly at only 24 weeks, weighing just 1 pound 1 ounce. Doctors told parents Molly and Isaiah that there was a 10% chance he would survive. The biggest concern for Liam is that his lungs are not developed, meaning he is unable to breathe on his own and maintain stable blood pressure.
At 6 days old, Liam started taking some small, but promising, breaths; his doctors say this is good progress but there is still a very long fight ahead for little Liam. There is extensive testing that needs to be done and he will remain in intensive care for quite some time.
