Help Lauren and Her Children Rebuild Their Lives

Hi everyone,

The last thing I ever expected to do was ask for help, but I’ve reached a point where I truly have no other option. I’ve always believed in working hard for everything I have, but right now, my children and I are in urgent need of support.

The past two years have been the hardest of my life. I lost my sister after her 19-year battle with cancer, my restaurant and contract with a large food company fell through, and I’m now being sued and facing double bankruptcy. On top of that, I lost our home — everything I poured my heart, soul, and savings into — leaving my children and me without a stable place to live.

Then, earlier this year, my husband and I separated, leaving us to fend for ourselves. I’ve been doing everything I can to hold things together as a single mother — working, caring for my kids, and trying to provide a safe, loving home despite all the challenges. I’ve also been selling all my furniture purses and jewelry to get by.

Unfortunately, things have become unsafe for us here. I’ve faced harassment, threats, and even been followed and confronted in front of my children. I’ve had to take legal action to protect myself and my family, and I no longer feel safe staying in San Diego.

I need to relocate to Texas, where my only family lives and where my children and I can finally begin to heal and rebuild. The cost to move our storage pod, travel expenses, and basic necessities for the trip total around $8,000, and I simply don’t have the means to cover it.

I’m working as much as I can, but as the sole caretaker of three children, I can’t afford childcare and have little support. We have less than two weeks to move, and I’m trying to stay strong for my kids while managing everything alone.
