Spread the Love: Brown-Bag Lunches for Our Neighbors

Together We Eat, a community initiative of Together Community Foundation, Inc., is partnering with elementary students at Metro Schools and United Methodist Church & Community Development for All People to assemble and distribute brown-bag lunches for neighbors in Columbus experiencing homelessness and food insecurity.

This effort is rooted in kindness, connection, and showing up for one another in meaningful, hands-on ways.

What We’re Doing

During the month of February, Metro Schools will be focusing on love, friendship, and kindness. As part of this focus, elementary students will help decorate lunch bags, write handwritten notes of encouragement to include with each meal, and work together as to help assemble the lunches. United Methodist Church & Community Development for All People will help us take this effort directly into the community where we will be distributing the lunches at All People’s Fresh Market.
