Over 3,000 people in the Austin area are living unhoused with little to no resources. Most go without access to basic daily items like soap, socks and snacks. Many feel forgotten, especially during cold months. As FCCLA members who value family and community, we wanted to create something that not only met physical needs, but also warmed hearts through kind notes of encouragement.

Our goal is to collect donations and distribute at least 50 kits that include hygienic items (soap, lotion) and hand-made items (positive message cards, journals), to the unhoused population of our community before the winter season with the help of local shelters and outreach programs while raising awareness with our school community, promoting kindness, and encouraging our students to get involved with helping.
