My name is Sandy Johnson, Founder of WISH-SL (Women Working in Support of Humanity Sierra Leone) — a grassroots, women ,youth community-led organisation dedicated to uplifting vulnerable communities in rural Sierra Leone through education, water access, youth empowerment, and humanitarian outreach.

This December, we are organising a Christmas Treat for children and families in Fabaina Village, a rural community where many households face daily hardship and food insecurity. For most of the children here, this will be the only special meal, gift, or celebration they experience all year.

I am raising funds to provide:

Gift packs for children (toiletries, small toys, school supplies, festive treats)

️ A warm Christmas meal for every child and family attending

A day of joy, music, dignity, and celebration

Support for the village school, including foundational improvements and community outreach

This cause is deeply personal to me, I know what it means for a child to feel seen, remembered, and valued — even for one day. The WISH-SL Christmas Treat has become a symbol of hope for communities that often receive very little.
