Hello, we are volunteers under the German Red Cross and are currently teaching English to public school students in a small city in Boyaca, Colombia.

A few weeks ago I brought my badminton equipment to school. The students weren't familiar with the sport but when I taught them how to play they quickly fell in love with it. Unfortunately I only have two rackets and sharing those with more than 30 students has become difficult. Other things were noticed by my friends: Many students are only familiar with a small variety of sports such as football and basketball. We want to introduce our students to new sports and give them proper sportsequipment. That is why we would appreciate any donations made so that we can provide our students with new equipment and thus a better understanding of different sports.

Hallo, wir sind Freiwillige des Deutschen Roten Kreuzes und unterrichten derzeit Englisch an öffentlichen Schulen in einer kleinen Stadt in Boyacá, Kolumbien. Vor ein paar Wochen habe ich meine Badminton-Ausrüstung mit in die Schule genommen. Die Schüler kannten den Sport nicht, aber als ich ihnen beibrachte, wie man spielt, haben sie sich schnell in ihn verliebt. Leider habe ich nur zwei Schläger, und das Teilen dieser mit mehr als 30 Schülern wird immer schwieriger. Weitere Dinge fielen meinen Freunden auf: Viele Schüler kennen nur eine kleine Auswahl an Sportarten wie Fußball und Basketball. Wir möchten unseren Schülern neue Sportarten näherbringen und ihnen Sportausrüstung zur Verfügung stellen. Deshalb würden wir uns über jede Spende freuen, die es uns ermöglicht, unseren Schülern neue Ausrüstungen zu geben und ihnen so ein besseres Verständnis für verschiedene Sportarten zu vermitteln.

Hola, somos voluntarios de la Cruz Roja Alemana y actualmente estamos enseñando inglés a alumnos de un colegio público en una pequeña ciudad de Boyacá, Colombia.

Hace unas semanas llevé mi equipo de bádminton al colegio. Los alumnos no conocían este deporte, pero cuando les enseñé a jugar se enamoraron inmediatamente. Lamentablemente, sólo tengo dos raquetas y compartirlas con más de 30 alumnos es difícil. Mis amigos se dieron cuenta de otras cosas: Muchos de los alumnos sólo conocen una pequeña variedad de deportes, como el fútbol y el baloncesto. Queremos introducir a nuestros niños en nuevos deportes y darles material deportivo adecuado. Por eso nos gustaría recibir donaciones que nos permitan proporcionar a nuestros alumnos material nuevo y, de este modo, darles a conocer mejor los diferentes deportes.
