We are Afghanistan Snowboard, a nonprofit and independent initiative working to grow snowboarding in Afghanistan. Since 2017, we have been using sports as a tool to bring hope, unity, and empowerment to Afghan youth..
As you know, life in Afghanistan is very difficult. Young people face countless challenges and very few safe opportunities for recreation, community, and joy. Sports are more than just games – they give children hope for the future, keep them away from negativity, and show the world that Afghan youth are strong, resilient, and full of dreams.
This year, we are asking for your support to raise $4,000 to make three important programs possible:
1. Summer Sandboarding in Kapisa & Parwan – $1,000
Even when there is no snow, Afghanistan’s sandy mountains allow us to keep the dream alive through sandboarding. With your help, we can run a summer program that gives young people joy, confidence, and community through this unique sport.
❄️ 2. Winter Sports Week & Snowboarding Championship – $1,500
Snowboarding in Afghanistan is still very new, but it is growing. We plan to host a Winter Sports Week and National Championship, creating healthy competition, developing local athletes, and showing the world that Afghan youth can achieve greatness even in the face of hardship.
3. Public Snowboarding for Kids – $1,500
We want to hold three free public snowboarding events for kids in Kabul, Panjshir, Herat, and Mazar-e-Sharif. These events will give hundreds of children their first chance to stand on a snowboard, experience joy, and believe in themselves.
Why Your Support Matters
Afghanistan is often seen only through the struggles it faces. But through snowboarding, we can tell a different story – one of peace, strength, and resilience.
Your support will:
✔️ Give Afghan kids safe, fun experiences in sports
✔️ Help grow a new generation of snowboarders
✔️ Spread a positive image of Afghanistan to the world
✔️ Keep hope alive for youth who need it most
How You Can Help
We need to raise $4,000 to make these programs a reality. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to giving Afghan youth a reason to smile and a chance to dream.
Please consider donating and sharing our campaign with your family, friends, and networks. Together, we can bring hope through snowboarding.

Thank you for your kindness and support,
Afghanistan Snowboard
