Sponsoring Outward Bound Veteran
Donation protected
Approximately one million active duty service members have returned home in the past few years or will return home over the next five years. These brave men and women bring with them great potential and valuable skill sets, but also enormous challenges. Their experiences in conflict zones can be so debilitating that they’ve lost touch with their skills and lost confidence in themselves. That 22 (on average) returned combat veterans take their own lives every day in America is appalling and, quite frankly, unacceptable.
The brothers of Thomson Lodge #340 in Paoli are teaming together with Outward Bound to address this issue. We are raising $2500 which will fully fund one veteran participating in the Outward Bound Veterans Program (Travel, programming, and gear all inclusive). A course specifically designed to support returning service members and recent veterans. Outward Bound is a non-profit, educational organization providing challenging learning expeditions that focus on character development, leadership and service.
We greatly appreciate any help you can provide and if you are veteran interested in participating in one of the Outward Bound programs, please contact:
