My daughter Grace and her friends Naomi & Shannon are jumping into Carnlough Harbour at 12 noon on New Year's Day to raise vital funds for a local charity, Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (Ballymena Branch).

This charity is very close to our hearts as it has helped a lot of children and their parents for well over 40 years.

It has helped my brother (who is now 44!) who has this disability become the person he is today, enabling him to learn to walk, talk & live a 'normal' life through physiotherapy, schooling and most of all helping my mum cope with everything. It also supports my nephew and his family as he also has Hydrocephalus. it is a fantastic charity and it supports many folk of all ages from the Ballymena/Ballyclare Area..
