Sponsor students in Belize

Hi, our names are Kayla Way, Natalie Hoffman, and Jessenia Herandez. Over our spring break in March, we went on a service study abroad trip with our college. While we were there we got to teach at St. Matthews Anglican School. After teaching these sweet kids, our lives were put into perspective. When talking with the Principal Mrs. Ferguson, we discovered that it was $34 Belizean dollars to attend school for a year, which converts to $17 American. 99% of parents can not afford to send their kids to school, but Mrs. Ferguson does not turn any kid away from education. They do little snack fundraisers and sell chicken eggs to the community, but do not make nearly enough to keep the school running. We knew that we wanted to help these kids however we could. During public health week at our school, we raised about $3,400. Now expanding we hope to be able to help build a preschool and provide tuition for even more kids.
