In November I'll be taking part in a big chop, cutting off my long hair to raise funds for local charity Nottingham Women for Change and to support independent women's activism in my community.

Half of all funds raised will be donated to Nottingham Women for Change to support running costs of their women only events and groups in particular the room hire costs for the peri menopause and menopause support group.

Remaining funds will be used to support independent women's activism in the city which falls outside of Nottingham Women for Change's work as a charity.
