Sponsor me to help Josh and Noah

Late last year my beautiful friend Riena was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Melanoma. She fought an extremely hard fight and anyone that knew Riena knew she was a real fighter! But she couldn't beat it. She had mile stones that she wanted to meet and reaching her son's first birthday in February was one of them, she reached this mile stone and was able to share the celebration that most of us have taken for granted, seeing her son turn 1.

Riena sadly lost her battle with Melanoma in March and has left behind her Fiance Josh and their 15 month old son, Noah. 

On the 20th of May I will be running the SMH Half Marathon. I decided to do this the same time I found out about Riena's illness. I told her in February that I was going to run the SMH Half Marathon for her and the thought of her strength, passion and zest for life has spurred me on when I have struggled in training.

Friends, I am asking you to please sponsor me for running this half marathon in memory of my beautiful friend Riena. I will be running for Riena, Josh and Noah.

I want to try to raise as much money as possible for Josh and Noah to ease some of the financial burden that they now face in this devastating time. 

Riena, I will even try to run it in a half decent time!! I know you will give me the push I need when I need it.
