Assalaam u alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatu hu, my name is Aisha. I am a member of the Youth Front for Palestine, a mother, an artist who makes art in solidarity with Palestine and an activist. I have raised over £3700 for Medical Aid Palestine and you will often find me at fundraisers and protests giving speeches. My art has featured on Al Jazeera English and I have launched a project called Colour Manchester for Palestine. 

I am raising funds to sponsor orphans in Palestine and provide them with vital food and medical supplies.

Over 20,000 children in Gaza have been made orphans since October 7th and a further 10,000 have been killed. The children in Gaza have suffered more trauma than many of us have seen in a lifetime. Losing whole families within seconds, being burnt by internationally prohibited white phosphorous, hospitals, churches and mosques all bombed. No clean water, no food, no medicine; the children of Gaza are now dying from hunger as well as the ongoing bombing. The orphans are the most vulnerable; searching for their dead parents, unable to understand why their parents' warm embrace is no longer comforting them. Unable to process the atrocities they face. With your help we can give those orphans shelter and sustenance.

The Prophet, on him be peace, said: 'I and the one who sponsors an orphan shall be in Paradise like these two' — and he raised his index finger and the one next to it, holding them together, barely separate” (Bukhari, No. 5304).
