Hello!

We are Siard and Elles, and for the past four months we’ve been volunteering at the Rise Above Foundation’s Family Care Center in Cebu City, Philippines.

A place where children from underprivileged families are given a chance to dream, learn, and grow.

The Family Care Center offers free care and pre-school education for children aged 3 to 5 whose families cannot afford kindergarten or childminding services.

Every weekday, the children come to the center to:

• Take a warm shower and receive clean clothes

• Learn basic hygiene like brushing teeth and washing hands

• Be taught by a dedicated in-house teacher

• Play with their friends in a safe environment

• Eat healthy meals and drink nutritious milk

For many of these kids, this is the only place where they feel safe, cared for, and supported , in stark contrast to the conditions of their homes.

The center runs entirely on donations from caring people who believe that every child deserves a fair start in life.

Why your help matters:

In many Filipino families, several children grow up in poverty . But due to limited resources, only one child may get sponsored for education and basic care. This puts immense pressure on that one child to succeed and later support the entire family.

By sponsoring more children, we can spread opportunity more evenly, so more kids get the chance to build a future, instead of carrying it all alone.
