Sponsor a child in Uganda to attend school!
Donation protected
I’ve recently acquired a school in Uganda, Africa with my good friend Kyomya Peter (he goes by Peter to make it easy on us Americans).
The previous owner of the school found himself in some unfortunate financial distress after owning the school for the last 15 years and facing heavy repercussions from the pandemic.
For the last year, Peter and I have been putting our efforts toward many projects to support community members of 6 villages in the rural districts of Masaka, Uganda. Poverty is on an almost unimaginable level in these areas with issues ranging from lack of accessible clean water, malnutrition, basic hygiene, and simple life skills.
After a year of donating hundreds of water purifiers to community households, developing a very successful 12 week self reliance program custom to local village member struggles, constructing the first clean water well with 3 more surveyed for construction, and assisting dozens of children to afford to attend school and various other projects.
Recently, the previous owner of the school contacted us after becoming aware of some of our efforts in the community and let us know that he would be selling the school to a large chicken poultryman from the city and that if we could afford it, he would love to see the school saved and continue operation.
Peter and I were devastated since ALL of our hard efforts involve children of these community members from the village district. We negotiated a deal with the owner and we so blessed and fortunate to be able to acquire and save the ONLY local school central to these 6 villages.
Now we face an enormous challenge…
Running and operating a school.
Currently, each student that attends school must pay $50 per school term (every 3 1/2 months).
The school's capacity is 200 children comfortably... However, since we acquired 4 acres of land, we have plenty of room for development and planning to use the men and women in the communities to build it and pay them rather than contractors from the city to provide some work and income for them.
$150 pays for an entire year of a student's tuition.
$50 pays for one term
Tuition will cover a child's uniform, teacher salary, materials, food for them to eat daily, and other miscellaneous expenses.
Any additional donations will be 100% allocated to building and structure development.
Thank you for helping me bless lives and attempt to enable and empower peter and his team to be able to reach his true potential!
