Hi! In April, we had our B'Mitzvah (the gender-neutral term for Bar/Bat Mitzvah). In honor of this, we are doing a mitzvah or a good deed to help the community. Our goal is to raise money to buy stuffed animals for children at Children's National Medical Center (CNMC).
In December 2017, Ethan was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. 2018 was a really hard year because he spent a lot of time in the hospital. This had a huge impact on our whole family. Ethan was in a lot of pain and he had a big stuffed animal dog that was a distraction and comfort (that's it in the photo).
We think that kids in the hospital could also benefit from having something to comfort them. We would like to give big dog stuffed animals to children who have been admitted to CNMC.
We'll buy the dogs at Ikea (This is the dog). Each dog costs $24.99.
Please help by sponsoring a big dog so we can bring them to children in the hospital and give them some comfort the way Ethan found comfort with his big dog.
Thank You!
Ethan & Keira
