Support the Klausener's in bringing helping hands to Nepal
Donation protected
Thankyou for your interest in helping to sponsor our volunteer trip to the village of Chanauti, Nepal.
From July to October, 2025 we will be travelling to Nepal to provide allied-healthcare and agricultural support in the Sindhupalchok district of Nepal.
Nepal is categorised as a 4th world developing nation that is extremely limited in resources, in-particular basic health care.
Allied health support for injury/trauma recovery and both acute and chronic illnesses are barely heard of and very expensive to access, and for farmers and those living in rural communities, inaccessible.
Mindful medicine worldwide (MMW) is an NGO developed by founder Grainne McKeown, who after travelling through the region over a decade ago, recognised the need, and considered how Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine could really help these communities. As a result the Chanauti clinic was brought into manifestation, to provide free treatments to the local community.

Seeking care for everyday maladies to stroke recovery and injury, villagers travel for miles to receive treatment at the clinic.
Relying solely on volunteers the clinic is open 6 days a week and can see up to 150 patients a week.
During our time volunteering for MMW I (Prue) will be the acting practitioner at the clinic, working alongside local assistants and translators. Sylvain will be helping to support the local farming community and applying his skills, knowledge and helping hands wherever is required.
Norah and Evie will be able to support us in our daily work and also delve into the village life with the local children.
This project will be an act of service, to the support of community and healthcare, two things that are very close to our hearts.
To embark on this journey we are kindly requesting your support in helping us to fund the clinic, support our host family and buy equipment (needles, herbs, clinic materials) that will be required during our stay and beyond.
We greatly appreciate anything you may be comfortable in contributing and look forward to sharing this journey with you all.
Please keep an eye on this page for updates on where you can keep up to date with us and local fundraising events we will be hosting over the next 9 months
