Spokane Welcomes Special Immigrant Visa Family
Donation protected
Our Spokane team created this fundraiser as a part of the Sponsor Circle Program to help Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders resettle in the United States through community sponsorship. Currently, we are assisting a family of four and have secured housing. We are now helping them with rent, buying food, setting up and paying for utilities, improving their English and job skills, and obtaining services to help them assimilate into their new lives in the United States.
We all came together because this family needs us. At great risk to themselves, they stepped up when our troops needed help, then were forced to flee their country and hide as refugees for over four years. In order to help them continue to get settled here in Spokane, we are raising funds that will directly go to the purchase of essential items such as furniture, pots and pans, groceries, transportation, health care, and even some clothes as they came to Spokane with very little. Any amount helps, and our team and newly arrived family thank you very much for your generosity.
*Our team went through an application process that was reviewed and vetted by the Welcome Corps program. The Sponsor Circle Program is a program of the Community Sponsorship Hub (CSH). The Sponsor Fund is operated by CSH in partnership with GoFundMe.org.*
