My addiction started at 17 after I fell into the wrong group of friends. For the next 6 years I spent my life living day to day trying to get my fix. While losing the trust of everyone and anyone who cared for me. Not only did I lose my dignity, self-respect and the love of my life, I lost countless friends, family members and memories I will never get back. Thanks to the unconditional love of my Family, my Son, and his loving mother I found my way back to the person I knew I was capable of being.

I’m not here to gain sympathy because for every story, there are another thousand just like it.

August 4th I will be 32 years old. At 23 I finally got clean and kept it up for almost 7 years. Unfortunately I hit a cross road and relapsed. On my birthday I will be 5 months clean (August 4th)

I wanted to share this because I hope this story helps someone. We do get better, and if you are still here today despite everything and what life has tossed your way YOU HAVE SOMETHING ! No matter what don’t give up

Ive had to go through obstacles but I am stronger and happier for it.

I have secured employment in Quebec to help me reach more people but I am asking for help from anyone battling addiction, has lost a loved one or has someone they care about fighting the good fight.

Any funds will go towards Addictions & Mental Health resources. I will also be teaming up and working with the community so that resources are going straight to our brothers and sisters in need. Working first hand with people in our community will give our team a better understanding on what they need NOW and going into the FUTURE !
